Elin Wägner (1882-1949) Swedish author, peace activist, journalist dedicated to women’s issues, ecologic thinker and quaker. Her book Väckarklocka (Alarm Clock) written during the Second World War forms her spiritual legacy. She was a visionary who formulated her thoughts about women, nature and peace in a time marked by war and hatred and the worship of primitive masculinity. |
